An unique opportunity to study with Ney Rosauro and learn his approach to composition and his performing techniques on marimba, vibraphone, and other instruments. Also, study with Jeff Moore, internationally recognized percussion clinician, lecturer, and soloist and special guest artist, Dr. John W. Parks, IV.
Participants will perform in master classes and concerts, and will receive instruction on a variety of percussion subjects including:
- Compositional Aspects & Analysis of Rosauro's Percussion Works
- Four Mallet Technique
- Rosauro's Extended Cross Grip
- Burton and Musser/Stevens
- Marimba, technique, solos & concerti
- Vibraphone, technique, improvisation, solos & concerti
- Timpani & Multiple Percussion solos & concerti
- Independence & Transfer Value in Percussion
Additional Activities:
- Percussion Ensemble
- Brazilian Percussion
- Hand Drumming
- Evening sessions and much more
Each student will receive:
- Daily sessions with Ney Rosauro and Jeff Moore
- Two small group lessons with Ney Rosauro
- Individual instruction opportunities with Jeff Moore
- Ample time for individual practice
- Instruments will be provided. Contact Jeff Moore to make arrangements if you wish to bring your own instruments.
